What is SafeBlock?

SafeBlock is an upcoming feature that helps keep your money safe. If you think someone is trying to scam you, you can quickly stop your account or card from being used. It will be available soon in the Westpac App and Online Banking.

You’re in control

If something feels wrong or you see a payment you don't recognise, you can block your accounts. They will stay blocked until you're confident everything is secure and ready to be unlocked.

Just tap a button to stop new online banking payments, ATM withdrawals, transfers, card purchases and most recurring card payments.

Use your Digital Card

Find the digital version of your card2 in the Westpac App. With a dynamic CVC security code that changes every 24 hours, it reduces the risk of fraudulent activity, if your details are compromised.

Westpac Verify with Confirmation of Payee

When paying someone new using BSB and account number, we'll check the details to add another layer of protection to your payment.

Things you should know

1. Terms & Conditions will be available once Safeblock is launched to outline what transactions and activities will and will not be blocked.
 

2. The Digital Card is only available in the Westpac App and supported with the latest version of the Westpac App. The terms and conditions applicable to your product also apply to the use of your digital card. Online Banking Terms & Conditions also apply. You may not always be able to access your digital card.
